Description | Jun 1898-1932: David James. Born 1868, entered the service of Swansea Improvements and Tramways Company as a junior clerk at the age of 11 and became chief clerk and cashier at the age of 16. In 1919 he became director and manager of South Wales Transport Company Limited, and managing director in 1924. After health problems he retired on 1 Mar 1932. He died on 22 Jun 1932 at the age of 63
