Ref No

This is a unique reference code given to each item held at the Archives. It is used to identify individual items and will be needed to consult documents in the search room or when requesting further information remotely.

Title

This is provides a brief description of a collection, part of a collection or an individual item.

Description

This provides additional information to complement the details given in the title.

Extent

This refers to the size and format of the collection, part of the collection, or item in question e.g. 20 boxes, 10 volumes, 1 photograph etc.
