CR refers to her primary and Secondary school education and then to her attending Bangor University to read Music. CR describes meeting her husband playing hockey. [0:01:50] CR describes being married in 1962 and the birth of her child 1964. CR then describes her husband taking up a teaching position in the zoology department in 1965. [00:03:52] CR refers to teaching at a nursery school and primary school. [00:05:25] CR discusses becoming qualified through HMI’s not through any formal teaching qualification. [00:06:33] CR comments on her husband’s position at Swansea University and his experiences there. [00:08:09] CR describes being part of the Singleton Womens Club (SWC). [00:12:52] CR compares the Swansea university women’s club to the university women’s club in Fiji which she joined when her husband was on sabbatical. [00:13:48] CR discusses some of the outings they went on including Stratford, Cardiff. [00:17:05] CR describes Christmas parties organised by the university for the children of university staff. [00:18:51] CR talks about going to the house of Elieen Llewelyn Jones and her role of the SWC [00:20:55] CR then talks about the wide age range of the singleton women club and talks about the number of members. [00:22:02] CR describes the balls which the singleton women’s club organised and the preparation that went into them. [00:24:11] CR comment on the lack of working members in the society. [00:26:47] CR talks about hockey [00:29:16} CR returns to the topic of the various roles she inhabited in the Singleton women’s club and the process of being elected. [00:35:00] CR talks about starting a part time job at Swansea Museum and the various other typing positions in various departments of the university. This then progressed to an administration post in student accommodation. [00:40:52] CR discusses the changes at the university [00:44:54] CR then discusses her travels with her husband including Australia, Chile, and Fiji. CR then talks about the various meals she has had across the world. [00:46:59] CR discusses changes to the Singleton’s Women’s Club [00:50:51] CR discusses the Club helping to form a university crèche. [00:55:24] CR discusses the materialistic nature of modern society.
