Comprises an account of the filming of The Comedians in Dahomey, West Africa, an official welcome event hosted by the President of Cotonou, working with Alec Guiness and Peter Glenville (director) on The Comedians and work on the film Boom, directed by Joe Losey.

Other subjects include attending the launches of The Taming of the Shrew in London and in Paris, where Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor dine with the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, attending the premiere of Dr Faustus in Oxford and giving a poetry recital at the Oxford Union with W.H.Auden.

Also various references to: the purchase of a yacht, the Kalizma; buying a jet aeroplane, meeting Prince Rainier and Grace Kelly of Monaco, visits to the yacht from Rex and Rachel Harrison, Tennessee Williams and Noel Coward; Elizabeth Taylor's Oscar award. Also mention of Richard Burton's arthritis and of attempts to arrange a school in London for Michael and Christopher.
