1. John John of Blackpill, retired licensed victualler - the vendor.
2. John Reel of Brooklands Terrace, inspector of tramways.
3. Thomas John of The E1ms, Mumbles, plumber.
4. John John, the younger, of Mumbles, builder - the purchaser.
This deed refers to a lease of 1852 to John John, senior, by Ruth Gibbs of land and the inn called Brinney, later known as the Woodman. This messuage is no longer used as a public house and the licence is transferred to premises on the opposite side of the turnpike road. 11 houses have been built on the land, numbers 1-11 Brooklands Terrace. Reference is also made to an underlease of 16 March 1877, between John John and David Lloyd of the Schoolhouse, opposite the Woodman, now 5 and 4 Brooklands Terrace.
This deed of 1891 is an agreement to sell the lease of 6, 7 and 8 for £175. With this are 2 receipts of land rent, dated 1880.
