TitleSwansea Transport Advisory Committee papers
DescriptionOne of the provisions in the Swansea and District Transport Act 1936 was the setting up of a transport committee to consist of 3 representatives from Swansea Corporation and 3 representatives from South Wales Transport Company. The Committee considered and made proposals about the development of road passenger transport services within the transport area, including fares.

In 1957 the Swansea and District Transport Act ceased and the Corporation waived its right to acquire local transport services. It was decided, however, that the committee would remain, as it had proven useful. Meetings were held quarterly, either locally or in London. In 1970 the functions of the Committee were widened to include representatives from United Welsh Services Limited
